What is Glutamine?
Glutamine is the most abundant amino acid in the body and plays a vital role in supporting muscle repair and construction, as well as supporting many other important functions.

Glutamine is now used by many athletes and sports people, across a wide sector of activities and has been shown to aid recovery and muscle repair and can increase levels of growth hormone, increase anabolic effects and also enhance protein synthesis.
Another key role of Glutamine is supporting the immune function (which is of particular importance to those engaging in heavy weight training or any physically demanding sport). Highly recommended to add to your post workout protein shake.
So when do I take it?
We suggest taking one heaped teaspoonful (5gm) with a protein shake or dissolved in a glass of juice immediately after training. For maximum effect take up to two heaped teaspoonsful (10gm) with a protein shake between meals or dissolved in a glass of juice, i.e. twice a day, ideally on an empty stomach.
